  • Kenya Utalii College (KUC) is a leading African hospitality and tourism training institution. Established 47 years ago the College has trained over 60,000 graduates from around the world who continue to serve in the local and international hospitality and tourism industry. The College opened its doors in 1975 and was established under the Hotels and Restaurants Act, (Cap. 494, Laws of Kenya) which has since been replaced by the Tourism Act, 2011.     Community Health Nurse Grade Kuc 8 (1 Post)

    Job Description

    Duties and responsibilities will entail:

    • Taking a medical history
    • Performing physical examination,
    • Ordering and interpret diagnostic tests,
    • Providing counselling and education
    • Prescriptions interpretation
    • Nursing procedures (dressing of wounds, injections and sterilization)
    • Accompanying a patient to hospital in emergency situations.

    Personal Specifications

    For appointment to the position of the registered nurse, a candidate must have:

    • Diploma in Registered Community Health Nurse or its equivalent from a recognized institution
    • At least three (3) years relevant working experience
    • Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
    • Demonstrated results in work performance
    • Computer proficiency skills
    • Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
