    Consultant, Complementary Pathways

     The Consultant, Complementary Pathways will support the following functions:

    • Coordinate planning with project stakeholders in various locations including Nairobi, Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps;
    • Support with logistics for various project activities including convening project beneficiaries for group and individual activities;
    • Support with organizing travel logistics for WUSC Kenya and WUSC Ottawa staff members;
    • Travel to Kakuma and/or Dadaab refugee camp during the WCC and SRP selection process and to provide follow-up support to the selected cohort;
    • Participate in regular meetings with WUSC Kenya and WUSC Ottawa team as and when needed;
    • All other related tasks, as required.

    Candidate Experience and Competencies

    • University degree in a related field, such as Community Development or other social sciences;
    • 2-3 years of professional experience ideally in the NGO sector, humanitarian sector, refugee sector;
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
    • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity;
    • Good understanding of complex emergencies and crisis contexts;
    • Strong communication, administrative and organizational skills;
    • Excellent skills in information technology, spreadsheets and PDF programs in particular;
    • Fluency in oral, and written in English is essential ;
    • Flexible and creative;
    • Goal oriented with ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision;
    • Willingness to travel within Kenya to various locations including Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps;
    • Demonstrated commitment to gender equality.
