• Our client, a leading Microfinance Institution, is seeking to hire an experienced Debt Collector to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following up on overdue payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely debt recovery in a professional and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact clients with outstanding debts via phone, email, or in-person visits.
• Negotiate payment plans and follow up to ensure commitments are met.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all communications and payment statuses.
• Prepare periodic reports on collections and account statuses.
• Work closely with the finance and customer service teams to resolve disputes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of KCSE certificate.
• At least 3 years of continuous experience as a Debt Collector (microfinance sector experience is an added advantage).
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Strong computer skills and good record-keeping ability.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, persistence, and attention to detail.
