Human Resource Specialist at Dove Nest Lodge

Position Summary:

We are seeking a professional and talented Human Resource Specialist to oversee all staff-related procedures and craft HR strategies in alignment with our business needs. Your duties will include recruiting and training new hires, managing employee data and taking steps to retain our people. To be successful in this role, you should have a good knowledge of labor legislation and experience hiring employees for various roles, performance management and payroll management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the recruitment, selection and onboarding of staff in line with internal policies.
• Preparing orientation programs for new staff and ensure new staffs at all levels receive appropriate orientation to the organization
• Involve in developing and scheduling of staff training calendar and maintain the same.
• Payroll processing, remitting statutory deductions as expected by law and transferring all other deductions.
• Coordinating of department for effective follow of work.
• Contracting for services that must be outsourced.
• Monitor employee working and attendance schedules including paid time off, breaks, and overtime.

Requirements

• Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role.
• People oriented and result driven.
• Demonstrate experience with Human Resource metrics.
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation.
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
• Well-presented and professional appearance.
• Competency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent customer service skills.
