Basic Salary Scale Ksh 60,000- 110,000 p.m

Job Specification            

Duties and responsibilities

• Automate cloud infrastructure and services through use of cloud-native technologies and scripting;
• Develop end-to-end CI/CD automation for products;
• Partner with product development & business stakeholders to enable velocity of product innovation via PaaS & automated hybrid cloud platform development;
• Keep up to date with market trends and competitive insights.
• Assist in deployment of customer workloads into the data center Cloud and increase their consumption of the platform by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers’ cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers;
• Establish deep relationships with key IT Decision Makers (ITDMs)and Business Decision Makers (BDMs), who drive long-term cloud adoption within the Technopolis;
• Identify, validate, and grow opportunities to accelerate consumption in next-gen high potential customer accounts, in partnership with the sales team, by driving solution architecture for both data center cloud and third-party solutions and vendors
• Develops business models for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud service models.
• Manages platform projects to build new capabilities and/or remediate existing ones.
• Accelerate consumption in next-gen high potential customer accounts by providing deep technical expertise and support in one out of the following four areas of specialization: Data center Transformation, Custom Applications, Media Services, Security, Compliance and Privacy.
• Lead deployment of projects, creation of collateral, and training of sellers and partners in cloud computing.
• Coach other technical sellers to become certified in required cloud technical certifications

Person Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience will be an added advantage.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from a recognized Institution.
• Relevant Professional qualifications such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, HCIA-BigData, SQL, Java, DevOps,HCIA- Storage, HCIA- Cloud, , , HCIA-Cloud Service,  CompTIA Cloud+ Certification, Cisco CCNA Cloud, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect or higher
• Strong understanding of Internet Service provider frameworks and Cloud Technologies and services (i.e.. Internet backbone architectures, Huawei, Google Cloud, AWS, Verizon hosting services, Rackspace, etc.)

Skill and Competence

• Expertise in Private Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Experience with Cloud Native Architectures, Micro-services, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, .Net, Java, CHEF, Bitbucket
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation, Big Data, and containerization technologies
• Experience in virtualization (KVM, VMware, Hyper-V), Containerization, Cluster management solutions and cloud technology landscape
• Strong track record of building enterprise transaction-based system with focus on security, reliability, scalability, and performance
• Experience working in Agile framework and comfortable working in matrixed organization
