Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The role is accountable for delivering the following performance outcomes:
Import Clearance Timeliness
Ensure all import shipments are cleared within 7 calendar days of arrival to avoid delays and additional costs.
Inbound Logistics Cost Optimization
Continuously identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in inbound freight, handling, and clearance processes while maintaining service quality.
Regulatory Compliance
Achieve and maintain 100% compliance with all import regulations as required by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).
Key Responsibilities
The Inbound Logistics and Administration Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end process of inbound shipments to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant importation of goods.
Key duties include:
Procurement Coordination
Follow up with vendors to obtain Proforma Invoices aligned with material replenishment plans.
Import Documentation Management
Customs Clearance & Compliance
Reporting & Communication
Record Keeping & Administration
Ensure proper filing and documentation of all import records and related correspondence.
General Support
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the line manager from time to time.
Internal & External Relationships:
Suppliers, Clearing Agent(s), Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya Bureau of Standards, Transporters, Factory, Quality Assurance & Product Development Teams
