    Inventory & Stores Supervisor – Nairobi (Urgent Hire)

    About the Role

    • Our client, a reputable organization based in Nairobi, is urgently seeking to hire a proactive and highly organized Inventory & Stores Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, ensuring proper stock control, minimizing losses, and maintaining efficient storage systems. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth flow of materials and goods in and out of the stores department.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily operations of the store and warehouse functions.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs and/or inventory management systems.
    • Supervise receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, finished goods, and equipment.
    • Develop and enforce policies for inventory control and stock handling procedures.
    • Conduct regular stock-taking, reconciliation, and reporting of variances.
    • Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely restocking and order fulfillment.
    • Ensure proper documentation of all stock movements (Goods Received Notes, Delivery Notes, Issue Vouchers).
    • Monitor stock levels and forecast requirements to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
    • Implement FIFO, LIFO, and other inventory methodologies based on nature of goods.
    • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper storage practices within the store.
    • Lead and supervise store staff, ensuring compliance with processes and targets.

    Key Requirements

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced or medium-to-large organization.
    • Strong knowledge of inventory software systems (e.g., ERP, QuickBooks, Zoho Inventory, or similar).
    • Proven ability to manage stock accuracy and minimize inventory losses.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
    • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines.
    • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent requests efficiently.
