Principal Supply Chain Management Officer at Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)

PURSPOSE

The Principal Supply Chain Management Officer will be responsible for implementation ofefficient and effective systems of acquisition of Goods, works and services aswell disposal Boards Asset.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Theduties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -
• Providing input into the annual procurement anddisposal plans;
• Implementing the annual procurement and disposalplans;
• Coordinating procurement and disposal activities;
• Preparing contract documents for goods, works andservices;
• Liaising with the user department to ensureeffective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;
• Providing secretariat to committees incidental toprocurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;
• Overseeing periodic and annual stocktakingexercise;
• Coordinating disposal of assets activities; and
• Preparing draft statutory reports to Public ProcurementReview Authority (PPRA).

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

For appointment to this grade, an officer must: -

• Have six (6) years relevant work experience inpublic or private;
• Have Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Procurement andSupplies Management, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Have Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management,Logistics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Have Diploma in Supplies Management or itsequivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Be Member of professional body either KISM or CIPSin good standing;
• Have a management course lasting not less than four(4) weeks from a recognized institution;
• vHave Demonstrated results in work performance; and
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of theConstitution
