    Quality Controller

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform in-process and final product inspections in accordance with company quality standards. Monitor and verify quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
    • Conduct and maintain testing on physical and mechanical properties of plastic materials (e.g., tensile strength, melt flow index, impact strength).
    • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure product conformity.
    • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
    • Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or IATF 16949 as applicable.
    • Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and support implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Coordinate with production teams to ensure compliance with quality targets and troubleshoot quality issues. Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
    • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring quality documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce rework/scrap.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of QC experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming).
    • Strong understanding of quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, SPC, FMEA). Familiarity with international quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, BIS).
    • Proficient in the use of inspection tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, etc.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Exposure to lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Experience with ERP or QMS software.
    • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to plastics manufacturing.
