Job Description

• Ensure implementation of Human Resource policies.
• Ensure timely management of program timesheets/effort certification.
• Participate in recruitment, promotions, induction and other employee relation activities. 
• Update staff compliment and establishment.
• Process employee employment details.
• Participate in the preparation of payroll. 
• Receive and filing of job applications. 
• Manage annual Staff Appraisal.
• Identify and carrying out staff training needs.
• Train and mentoring human resource staff.
• Handle routine correspondence. 

For an appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Master’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Development, Human Resource Planning and Development, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following Social Sciences: Human Resource Management, Sociology, Records Management, Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, or it's equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Served in the grade of HR Officer I for a minimum period of three (3) years or its comparable position.
• Diploma in Human Resource Management 
• Membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
• Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Fulfil requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of the Republic of Kenya, 2010 at the point of placement.
