    Sports Editor

    Requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
    • At least 2 years experience in journalism and writing sports content 
    • Passion for writing sports content (Knowledge of East Africa and Kenyan Sports is an added advantage)
    • Impeccable communication and interviewing skills, both written and verbal 
    • Strategic and analytical thinker
    • Ability to go the extra mile 
    • Self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn and adapt 
    • Work under minimal supervision
    • Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).

    ‍RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Monitoring trending sports stories
    • Sourcing ideas for exclusive sports stories
    • Sourcing comments from experts, entrepreneurs.
    • Writing and publishing sports stories that resonate with our audience (including news articles, interviews, and feature articles about sports) 
    • Participating in all activities related to sports content direction 
    • Ability to churn out articles in perfect English.
