    Technical Lead Surround Sound Kenya Project

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Provide technical leadership and oversight in implementation approaches for gender equality in young people in Kenya.
    • Lead the development, dissemination, and implementation of activity work plan strategies, approaches, guidance, standard operating procedures, tools, and various job-aids to facilitate high quality implementation for gender equality in young people in Kenya
    • Manage key stakeholder engagements on behalf of the project with Government Of Kenya line ministries, County DOH, IPs, donors and target audience for the project activities.
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship for stakeholder engagement of norm holders in the implementation of the gender equality approaches for young people in Kenya
    • Support fundraising for gender equality in young people interventions in Kenya
    • Coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of costed project work-plans
    • Provide leadership in the quarterly, semi-annual and annual project performance reviews and reporting.
    • Provide leadership in the donor report writing, fundraising continuation applications, representation and presentation as required
    • Coordinate and monitor financial and material resources relevant to achieve the assigned project outcomes.
    • Coordinate preparation and dissemination of project analytics and presentation in peer relevant forums.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Nursing, Public Health, Gender or a related field.
    • Experience of a minimum of 7 years of work in project management with at least 3 years in an advisory role in relation to young people implementation in Kenya.
    • Relevant Master’s degree would be an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of the health and social service sector in Kenya.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop user-friendly guidance, tools and standard operating procedures for use by various cadres of stakeholders
    • Relevant grant management experience, especially for USG or other public donors, will be a plus
    • Experience working with stakeholders at various levels including but not limited to State and government actors, LIPs, civil society, healthcare providers and social service providers.
    • Experience analyzing data and contributing to evaluation reports.
    • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to make sound judgment.
    • Strong communication, relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with local stakeholders.
    • Presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills
    • Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented.
