Our disability-inclusive programming focuses on education and health, economic empowerment and political participation. Cross-cutting all our work is a commitment to influencing and supporting the effective implementation of the SDGs, Disability Summit Commitments and UN treaties, particularly the UNCRPD. Gender mainstreaming is a core commitment of our work and addressing stigma and discrimination is a priority.
We are seeking to bolster our list of consultants who will be available for short-term assignments. The Consultants will be responsible for providing technical support in the design of new projects, the provision of technical expertise to ongoing initiatives and they will also play a role in shaping the strategic direction of Sightsavers social inclusion strategy at this pivotal time.
Purpose:
To provide Sightsavers with technical and strategic programmatic advice in disability inclusion. Particular areas of expertise should include one or more of the following:
