    Graphic Designer -Publishing Firm

    The Graphic Designer will be responsible in creating visually appealing and professional designs that support the publishing process. This role involves designing book covers, page layouts, marketing materials, and digital content that align with the company’s branding and author requirements.

    Job Description

    • Design creative and marketable book covers for various genres.
    • Develop interior page layouts that follow publishing standards and enhance readability.
    • Prepare print-ready files, ensuring correct formatting, color settings, bleed, and resolution.
    • Collaborate with editors, authors, and the production team to meet design requirements.
    • Ensure all design work is original, professional, and aligned with the company’s style and audience.

    Job Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
    • Excellent creativity and visual design skills.
    • Strong typography and layout design abilities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good problem-solving skills and ability to interpret project briefs.
    • Knowledge of current design trends and publishing standards.

    Sales Executive - Publishing Firm

    The Sales Executive purpose is to execute the marketing strategies, drive sales and enhance the company’s brand presence.

    Job Description

    • Visit schools regularly to pitch the company’s books to teachers and school administrations.
    • Engage bookshops to stock and display book titles.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, teachers and bookshops.
    • Organise and participate in school events, bookfairs, and other KPA/KESSHA/KEPSHA forums.
    • Collect feedback from the field and share insights to improve products and marketing approaches.
    • Achieve set termly and annual sales targets.
    • Prepare daily and weekly reports.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or fieldwork (experience in publishing will be an added advantage).
    • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Education, Business, or a related field.
    • Strong command of English and Kiswahili.
    • Must be willing to travel extensively within assigned regions.
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills.
    • Confident, presentable and self-driven.
