Assistant Director Children Rehabilitation Services
A minimum of Bachelor degree in Social Sciences with a bias in Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, Gender Studies, Counseling Psychology, Anthropology or any other related discipline from a recognized Institution.
KCSE or its Equivalent
Registered practitioner with Kenya National Association of Social Workers, & Kenya Counseling Association
Ten (10) years’ experience, five (5) years of which must have been working with children, the Aged, PWDs and other vulnerable families.
Possess Leadership skills, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Ability to work under pressure, Negotiation skills, Ability to build and lead cohesive teams, Problem solving skills
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and integrity.
Job Description
Supervision and inspection childcare facilities.
Development of sectional work plans, action plans, budgetary projections, performance targets, and procurement plans.
Co-ordinate programs for children care, protection and development.
Coordinate children services in the County.
Co-ordinate Child Advocacy ad rights programs.
C-ordinate placements and family re-unification programs.
Implementation of rescue, rehabilitation, reintegration and resocialization of street and other vulnerable persons.
Supervision and inspection of childcare facilities and OVC support mechanisms.
Implementation of Child therapy programs
Development and implementation of policies and other legal framework under childcare & social protection
Staff issues including supervision, deployment and appraisal.
