JOB DESCRIPTION
- Overseeing the evaluation of compliance with established Key Performance Industry Standards ;
- Ensure an appropriate monitoring and evaluation framework is in place;
- Ensure an appropriate IT system is instituted to facilitate implementation of a monitoring and evaluation framework;
- Coordinating the reporting of the implementation progress of the Authority’s Kenya Vision 2030 priority flagship projects;
- Oversee preparation of quarterly industry efficiency reports;
- Prepare technical operations reports on performance contracts;
- Preparing quarterly reports on the implementation progress of the Authority’s commitment in the Mombasa Port Community Charter;
- Analysing, validating and conducting quality assurance of the Mombasa Port
- Community Charter industry periodic performance reports;
- Organising and coordinate the activities of the steering committee to the Mombasa Port Community Charter;
- Preparing departmental reports on implementation progress of the department’s Vision 2030 priority flagship projects;
- Taking part in the preparation of the departmental budget.
- Sensitizing stakeholders on appropriate use of International Commercial Terms of Trade (INCOTERMS) and other emerging industry issues geared towards facilitating trade.
- Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of the Mombasa Port Community Charter and the Memorandum of Cooperation;
- Coordinate implementation of the Facilitation of International Maritime Traffic (FAL) Convention;
- Oversee submission of status report on implementation of FAL Convention;
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Port Management, Shipping, Transport
- Economics, logistics, Business Management/Administration or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution ; Masters degree in any of the fields will be an added advantage;
- Member of a relevant maritime professional body in good standing;
- Minimum of three (3) years service in Ports and Shipping at management level;
- Certificate in Leadership Course from a recognized institution lasting not less than four weeks;
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010); and
- Proficiency in computer applications;
Terms of Service and Remuneration; pensionable terms of service, medical cover
Remuneration (kshs.); Basic salary: 170,500.00 to 373,500.00, House allowance: 35,000.00, Commuter allowance: 20,000.00
The candidates to be selected must adhere io the provisions of Chapter VI on Leadership and Integrity as enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
