Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management - 1 Post at Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)

The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:

• Compiling the annual Corporate procurement and asset disposal plans;
• Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans and preparing quarterly implementation status reports;
• Coordinating procurement and disposal activities;
• Preparing contract documents for goods, works, and services;
• Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works, and services;
• Providing secretariat services to committees incidental to the procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;
• Overseeing periodic and annual stocktaking exercises;
• Coordinating disposal of assets activities;
• Preparing statutory reports to PPRA, EACC, National Treasury.

Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• At least ten (10) years cumulative relevant work experience, four (4) of which should have served at management level;
• Master's Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor's degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Supplies Management/Logistics and Procurement Management from a recognized institution;
• Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
• Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) of good standing;
• Demonstrated merit in work performance;
• Proficiency in computer application;
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution only for the successful applicants.
