Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Machakos County Public Service Board

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Preparation of cost estimates;
2. Preparation bill of quantities;
3. Preparation of monthly valuations on site;
4. Site re–measurements;
5. Preparation of variation orders.

Minimum Requirements and Competencies

1. For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Building Economics/ Quantity Surveying or the equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognised institution;
3. Be registered as a graduate member of either the Architectural Association of Kenya or the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.

Terms of Service:

1. Permanent & Pensionable

Salary:

1. As prescribed by the Salaries & Remuneration Commission (SRC)

Mandatory Integrity Clearance

1. Clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
2. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
3. Clearance from Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of National Police
4. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti–Corruption Commission (EACC)
5. Clearance from former employer where applicable.
