Chief of Party at Social Impact

Position Description:

SI is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) for the upcoming USAID/KEA LIS Activity. The COP will be responsible for coordinating closely with USAID/KEA, implementing partners, and other stakeholders to ensure that the Activity reaches its goals. This is a full-time position for the duration of the five-year project, and is anticipated to be based in Nairobi.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of a master’s degree in a field relevant to international development, such as economics, statistics, public health, etc.
2. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing high-performing, interdisciplinary teams in international development settings.
3. Experience using monitoring, evaluation, verification and data utilization concepts to improve development results.
4. Experience providing capacity building services to local actors and stakeholders.
5. Experience working with third party monitoring platforms and/or support mechanisms.
6. Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking/planning, management, and presentation skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to establish relationships of trust with clients, including those at the level of a USAID Mission Director.
8. Fluency in English, written and spoken. Fluency in Kiswahili strongly preferred.
