Commercial Manager - Butchery and Fishery at Majid Al Futtaim

The Commercial Manager - Butchery and Fishery is responsible for coordinating with buyers as well as supporting purchases for Majid AlFuttaim Retail. The role holder is also responsible for assisting with selection and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogues, and online.
ROLE PROFILE

• Expertise in sourcing, handling, and cold chain logistics for perishables, with a strong knowledge of industry regulations
• Responsible to interpret sales data and forecasts to optimize product ranges, pricing, and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, availability, and favorable contract terms.
• Develop a cost scenario analysis, and benchmarking for the sourcing function when required.
• Identify profitable suppliers and initiate partnerships.
• Oversee communication with suppliers on quality related issues and propose areas for improvement to ensure best quality products.
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the sourcing function.
• Ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing wastage and responding to supply chain disruptions effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or relevant.
• Master’s Degree is a plus.
• 10-15 years in similar position and experience in retail is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of importing and Sourcing Channels.
• Strong business communication and negotioation skills.
• Full Profiency in English.
