Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing technical advice on Co-operative services
• Enforcing compliance with Co-operative legislation
• Designing, coordinating and monitoring the implementation of cooperative activities, programs and policies
• Carrying out market research and disseminating research findings
• Preparing and validation registration and de-registration of Co-operative societies documents
• Monitoring Co-operative societies' liquidation process
• Developing education and training packages for the Co-operative movement
• Promoting value addition and processing
• Conducting Cooperative banking inspections
• Undertaking Cooperative risk assessment

Requirements for Appointments

• Served in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
• Bachelor's degrees in any of the following disciplines; Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Sociology, Law, Agricultural Economics, СoOperative Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management & Organizational development from a recognized institution
• Masters in any of the following disciplines; Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Sociology, Law, Agricultural Economics, Co-Operative Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management & Organizational development from a recognized institution
• Certificate in computer applications
• Demonstrated Managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance and exhibited a thorough understanding of national goals, policies, objectives and ability to relate them to the Cooperative Development and Marketing function.
