The Kilifi County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following position.

This is the entry level position for this cadre.

Requirements for recruitment

For appointment to this position a candidate must have:

1. Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Kenya Enrolled Nurse, Kenya Enrolled Midwife or from a recognized institution;
2. Enrolment Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
3. Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya.
4. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

1. Assessing patients and clients and establishing healthcare needs
2. Planning and implementing nursing care interventions based on patients and clients health needs
3. Providing appropriate healthcare services including immunization, antenatal care delivery referring patients and clients appropriately
4. Evaluating healthcare outcomes on patients /clients, preparing individualized reports
5. Making appropriate discharge plan for patients
6. Conducting assessment of school health needs
7. Planning, implementing interventions and preparing periodic reports
8. Maintaining records on patients/clients personal /Health conditions and care
9. Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment
10. Ensuring safe custody for inpatient belongings
11. Conducting home visits, following up discharge patients/Clients and providing continuity of care
12. Treating minor ailments
