Job purpose:
The Executive Director, LITES, is responsible for providing visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for LITES. The role entails developing and executing strategies that drive innovation, market growth, and profitability across a broad portfolio of solutions, including Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), Consultancies, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Biometric Solutions and payment Integrations, Renewable Energy Solutions, Smart Water Metering, Energy Audit Services and Data Centre Services.
The job holder will ensure strong stakeholder relationships, build high-performing teams, and deliver impactful solutions aligned with client needs and regulatory frameworks.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a robust strategy to grow LITES’ footprint in the ICT and renewable energy sectors.
- Drive innovation across product lines including digital platforms, mobile applications, biometric systems, and renewable energy technologies.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and manage business risks.
- Oversee the development and commercialization of new solutions that meet evolving client needs and enhance the subsidiary’s market positioning.
- Lead business development efforts, from lead generation to closure, targeting both public and private sectors.
- Oversee bid and tender processes, ensuring timely, competitive, and compliant submissions.
- Forge strategic partnerships with technology vendors, energy solution providers, government agencies, and development partners.
- Champion client engagement, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and long-term value delivery.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of projects and services, including but not limited to; EDMS, ERP, data centres, energy audits, smart metering systems, and solar PV installations.
- Establish operational controls, quality assurance standards, and performance metrics to guarantee service excellence.
- Oversee risk management, cybersecurity, and data privacy across all technology deployments.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant ICT, energy, and data protection laws and standards (e.g., CAK, EPRA, ODPC).
- Maintain timely filings, licenses, and approvals required for the subsidiary's operations.
- Represent LITES in stakeholder forums, regulatory bodies, and industry networks.
- Build, inspire, and lead a multidisciplinary team across engineering, ICT, business development, and support functions.
- Drive a culture of high performance, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Ensure effective performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
- Serve as a key member of the Group Executive Leadership Team, contributing to overall group strategy.
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
Academic and Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, ICT, Engineering or Renewable Energy or any other relevant field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer science, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
- Membership with a relevant professional body
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and achieving revenue growth.
- Proven track record of high performance in a dynamic institutional environment
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in ICT and/or energy sectors, with at least 6 years in executive leadership.
