The county has a rich history and folklore that makes it a favourite for cultural tourism. It was originally known as Chich Onuno (Onuno’s market) but it was renamed to Homa Bay by colonialists in 1925 because it was overlooking the then Huma Hills in Karachuonyo. Visitors from overseas pronounced Huma as 'Homa' and the residents adopted the name Homa Bay. Administratively, Homa Bay County has eight constituencies which also serve as Sub County administrative Units- Mbita, Ndhiwa, Homa Bay Town, Rangwe, Karachuonyo, Kabondo, Kasipul and Suba.

Preparing and sending design pages to press
Prioritizing, monitoring and tracking production projects to ensure timely
completion of the same, and giving a final report. Any other duties that may be
assigned by the Senior Information Officer or Director
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen
Diploma-holder in Graphic Design or Journalism from a recognized institution, with 5 years ‘working experience
Proficient in computer applications
Proven skills in video animation designing.
Good communication and team-playing skills
Excellent time management approach and ability to meet set deadlines
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and reporting skills
Be a registered member of a professional body in the area of specialization
