Head of Pricing at Summit Recruitment and Search

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement competitive and profitable pricing structures for freight, warehousing, last-mile delivery, and value-added services.
• Establish pricing frameworks tailored to customer segments
• Conduct regular market intelligence to understand competitor pricing, market dynamics, and customer price sensitivity.
• Build and maintain cost models that account for variable and fixed logistics costs across the value chain.
• Support commercial and sales teams with pricing for tenders, RFQs, and strategic client proposals.
• Monitor revenue performance and conduct pricing impact analysis to identify opportunities for upselling or service bundling.
• Work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Tech teams to ensure pricing is aligned across all touchpoints.
• Oversee integration of pricing logic into systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, TMS) for automated quote generation and billing accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 –10 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or commercial strategy within logistics, freight, or supply chain sectors.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or pricing software.
• Experience with cost modeling, pricing for tenders, and customer profitability analysis.
• Understanding of logistics operations and cost drivers in East Africa is highly desirable.
• Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
• Analytical and detail-oriented.
• High proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Results-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
