Job Purpose​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The job entails identification, feasibility studies, detailed design and construction of water infrastructure to increase area from diverse water sources that include rivers, lakes, ground water as well as the development and expansion of sanitation, water harvesting and storage infrastructure. The job holder will answerable to a senior officer.

Job Specifications​​​​​​​

This grade is the entry and training level for the cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

Duties and responsibilities entail:

• Planning and designing water and sanitation infrastructure;
• Supervising construction works for water and sewerage infrastructures;
• Collecting and compiling water and sewerage data;
• Compiling operation and maintenance data; and
• Supervising water supply operators and artisans.

Person Specifications​​​​​​​

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Diploma in in any of the following disciplines: Civil Engineering Water Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electro Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
• Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board;
• Proficiency in computer applications;
• Membership to a professional
