As Legal, Ethics & Compliance Manager, you will provide Legal Ethics and Compliance support to the Middle Africa Affiliate comprising 49 countries.
You will manage complex and diverse issues of high priority and impact on Novo Nordisk, and will independently:
Handle Legal and Compliance matters arising from business activities, including in areas such as engaging with Health Care Professionals, Corporate Governance, Contract Management, Data Privacy, Competition Law and Employment Law.
Train internal and external stakeholders on legal matters including Contracts, Data Protection, Business Ethics, among other relevant areas of interest. Liaise with third parties serving the Legal Ethics and Compliance Department; ensure quality service delivery, review their terms of reference and retainer agreements, and assure compliance. Coordinate Company Secretarial activities for the Legal Entities within the Affiliate
Implement global/regional Business Ethics & Compliance policies and procedures and support the strong ethical culture of Novo Nordisk.
Network internally & externally and liaise with other business partners and external stakeholders to ensure business dealings in line with the NN Way and NN’s Ethics Framework.
Be the advisor on Business Ethics and Compliance issues; conduct internal monitoring, compliance risk assessments and due diligence processes.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
University degree in Law.
At least 7 years of experience in a Legal department or law firm (licensed to practice law is an added advantage).
Experience from pharmaceutical or multinational company is great advantage.
Knowledge about data privacy.
Fluent in English language is mandatory while fluency in French is great advantage.
