Maintenance Intern( 5 Post) at National Youth Service (NYS)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that electrical related works are carried out properly while observing high quality standards.
• Overseeing the implementation of the preventive schedule and troubleshooting.
• Planning and managing stock of spare parts and factory consumables.
• Routine review of breakdowns and repairs.
• Supporting planning of installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Providing technical support to the Workshop team and Road Track Solutions in service of equipment and repairs
• Reporting on any matter in relation to electrical works.
• Inspection of electrical materials and machines supplied to stores.
• Training of new technical staff (technicians).
• Adhering to all safety regulations when carrying out duties.
• Any other official duties allocated to you by your Line Manager.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical and electronics Engineering or maintenance related course
• Training in machine maintenance with at least one year of experience in machine maintenance 
• A solid understanding of machine operations.
• Proven ability to make complex and time-sensitive decisions in the best interests of the.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
