Media Technologist - Instructional Design at Alupe University College

Minimum Qualification and Experience
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Bachelor's degree in Media Technology, Electronic/Broadcast Media, Film & TV Production, Sound Engineering or any other related from accredited and recognized University;
• At least two (2) year working experience working in media sector or multimedia production environment;
• Proficiency in audio-visual equipment setup, maintenance, camera operations, lighting, and digital media editing and post-production processes.
• Be a registered member of the professional body (where applicable);
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities at this level entails: -

• Set up and maintain media lab equipment;
• Assist students and staff in the use of media production and equipment and software during practical sessions;
• Ensure all media equipment and distribution systems are fully operational and ready for live broadcasts, studio recordings, field productions and virtual events;
• Preparing the budget for laboratory requirements;
• Ensure regular maintenance and inventory management of lab equipment and software licenses;
• Enforce safety and usage within the media lab;
• Participating in departmental research activities;
• Supervising and training interns engaged in media laboratory;
• Provide technical specifications, reports, and cost analyses in the lab to aid management decisions; and
• Engage in innovation and income-generating initiatives.
