Medical Specialist I (Pediatrics Surgeon) at Kiambu County Government

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

• Bea kenyon citizen:
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution;
• Master's degree (MMed) in Pediatric Surgery from a recognized institution;
• Registered with the Kenya Medical practitioners and Dentists Boards:
• Registered as a Medical/Specialist Practitioner by Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council:
• Have a Valid Practicing License;
• Have a Recognition Certificate as a Specialist by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council:
• At least one year post specialization working experience;
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding and commitment to values and principles as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution:
• Must have good inter-personal and communication skills:
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Specialized skills in pediatric surgery, encompassing a wide range of surgical procedures for children:
• Compassionate care for pediatric patients, recognizing their vulnerability and providing emotional support:
• Collaboration and communication within medical teams to coordinate surgical interventions effectively:
• Dedication to continuous learning and research to offer the latest and most advanced pediatric surgical techniques;
• Participate in teaching and mentoring junior medical staff; and
• Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.
