    Membership Intern

    The Intern will work directly with the membership officer on a matter touching on Institution’s membership recruitment and processing. The ideal candidate is a member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (a person must be a Technician/Graduate/ a student who has graduated and a member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) with a desire to become acquainted with how a membership-based organization operates. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist membership officer in maintaining the membership database to make sure all directory information is up to date for both members.
    • Assist in potential new member research – conduct research on various institutions of learning both middle and Universities with a view to recruit potential members Assist in the retention process of individual member accounts.
    • Assist the membership officer in responding to inquiries for more information from prospective members.
    • Assist the membership officer in realizing set ISK work plan objectives
    • Assist membership officer in soliciting member feedback on member’s satisfaction on our services and member benefits.
    • Assist membership officer in creating and presenting weekly and monthly reports on continuous improvement opportunities, member benefits as well as membership applications as contained in the membership portal.
    • Assist in the coordination of member engagement during chapter meetings
    • Assist membership officer in hosting of chapter meetings, follow up with chapter secretaries on pending applications
    • Assist membership officer in follow up on incomplete application forms with a view to having applicants finalize on the applications
    • Assist membership officer in the coordination of chapter meetings and attending them where held physically
    • Administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Holder of a relevant degree from a university recognized in Kenya.
    • IT certification will be an added advantage

    Key Competencies

    • Ability to handle several tasks in varying stages
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software is required;
    • Proficiency with databases
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent writing skills
