VACANCY NO: 6/HS/2024: PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST III: TWO (2) POSTS
For recruitment to this post, an applicant MUST have: -
- Diploma in either Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent qualification approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board from recognized Institution;
- Certificate of enrolment as a Pharmaceutical Technologist awarded by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB);
- Valid Practicing License; and
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Providing pharmaceutical services in the hospital; receiving, interpreting and processing prescriptions; recording prescriptions in a pharmacy unit; pre-packaging, repacking and writing instructions on labels; counseling patients on the usage of drugs in a pharmacy unit; and maintaining drug registers/books and stock —-taking and medicinal devices on monthly basis.
For appointment to this internship position, a candidate MUST have:
- Graduated within the last three (3) years
Duration for the internship
Twelve (12) Months Non-renewable
Stipend
A stipend will be paid at a rate determined by the Government.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the internship programme, a certificate will be awarded
