Planning & Logistics Manager at Frank Management Consult Ltd

Job Purpose

The Planning & Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading the planning and logistics function for the company to effectively create and maintain an efficient sourcing, production and distribution schedule that meets customer requirements while minimizing cycle times and effectively utilizing inventory

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and mentor the Planning and logistics team to ensure a high level of proficiency and development.
• Create level loaded Master Production Schedule while maintaining targeted inventory levels.
• Ensure a consistent handoff of planning information to the production and the raw material buyers.
• Maintain valid capacity requirements plan that supports the master production schedule.
• Identify bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team.
• Establish and monitor ERP system parameters, including safety stock levels for finished goods and raw material inventories.
• Lead weekly/monthly Master Production Schedule meetings.
• Liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Distribution on a continuous basis.
• Lead the development of scheduling tools to increase the level of automation and reduce the manual nature of the Scheduling function.
• Provide guidance and expertise to develop plant team knowledge relative to plant
• Lead implementation of EHS, QMS and other continual improvement initiatives.
• Schedule optimization.

Desired Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Masters’ Degree in Economics or other relevant field
• At least 10 years previous relevant work experience required
