JOB DESCRIPTION

• Preparation of the annual procurement and disposal plans;
• Preparing advisory/professional opinion on procurement matters to the Accounting Officer;
• Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans;
• Coordinating procurement processes and disposal activities;
• Preparing contract documents for goods, services and works;
• Implementation of contracts for goods, services and works;
• Providing secretariat to committees incidental to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;
• Overseeing periodic and annual stocktaking exercise;
• Coordinating disposal of assets activities; and
• Preparing draft statutory reports to PPRA.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Masters degree in any of the fields will be an added advantage;
• Be Member of professional body either KISM or CIPS in good standing;
• Minimum three (3) years work experience in public procurement at a senior level;
• Certificate in Leadership Course from a recognized institution lasting not less than four weeks;
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010); and
• Proficiency in computer applications;

Terms of Service and Remuneration; pensionable terms of service, medical cover
Remuneration (kshs.); Basic salary: 115,500.00 to 285,500.00, House allowance: 30,000.00, Commuter allowance: 16,000.00
