Procurement Consultant to Undertake Supplier Prequalification Services at Finn Church Aid (FCA)

• Finn Church Aid Kenya is seeking the services of a procurement consultant who will provide supplier prequalification services and help assess and verify the qualifications of potential vendors, ensuring they meet the organization’s standards and requirements.

Objective of the consultancy

The specific objectives of the consultancy are as follows:

• To update supplier database.
• To leverage opportunities that appear in the supply market.
• To ensure that vendors comply with the relevant laws, regulations, and the organization standards.

Skills and qualifications required.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies (CIPS).
• At least 6 years prior experience in procurement roles including vendor management.
• Ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor selection.
• Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
• A deep understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
• Knowledge of local, national, and international procurement regulations and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings, presenting recommendations, and interacting with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in analysing financial statements and assessing vendor financial stability.
• Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
