For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) grade C Plain;
Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution; and
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
Duties & Responsibilities
This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this level may be deployed at any of the Departments at the Headquarters or a County Office. Specifically, duties and responsibilities will include: (i) Filing and serving pleadings at the court registry;
Taking documents and or pleadings for commissioning before filing;
Compiling timely case returns;
Filing court documents for easy retrieval;
Obtaining daily cause list;
Preparing case quarterly returns;
Prepare affidavits of service;
Dispatching and serving relevant correspondences to public registries, courts, and other offices;
Printing and photocopying necessary documents as instructed
Maintaining calendars and diaries;
Receiving, listing and securing exhibits;
Receiving legal summons and other legal documents;
Perusing court files as and when directed; and
Maintaining and managing the documents’ movement registers.
