    Public Information - Communication

    Key Tasks:

    • Assist in generating a variety of communication materials, such as meeting notes, email responses, draft background papers, graphics, and digital analyses.
    • Assist in coordination within the Division and across other departments for a variety of projects and initiatives.
    • Support the management of partnerships for World Environment Da, Champions of the Earth, and UN Environment Assembly (e.g., drafting meeting minutes, responding to inquiries, conducting follow-ups, updating databases, performing due diligence processes, monitoring and collecting data).
    • Support outreach activities for various public advocacy campaigns and activities.
    • Assist with the organization of internal and external meetings and events.
    • Support the drafting of wrap-up reports and the day-to-day communication of campaign activities.
    • Provide administrative, project management, and information management support.
    • Carry out other duties on an as-needed basis as may be required.

    Qualifications/special skills

    • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
    • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
    • Preferred areas of studies: Communications, Information Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Media Studies, Journalism, or related field.
    • No work experience is required. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience.
