For recruitment to this post, an applicant MUST have: -
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community health from a recognized institution;
- Certificate of registration from the Clinical Officers Council;
- Valid Practicing License from the Clinical Officers Council;
- Computer application skills from a recognized institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Provide clinical care and procedures for treating and preventing diseases, injuries, and other physical or mental impairments; History taking, physical examination, investigation, diagnosis and_ treating patients common ailments at outpatient or inpatient facility; implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health workers; guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on health issues; Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health; caring out minor surgical procedures as per training skill; collecting and compiling clinical data; referring patients and clients appropriately health facilities and any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
For appointment to this internship position, a candidate MUST have:
- Graduated within the last three (3) years
Duration for the internship
Twelve (12) Months Non-renewable
Stipend
A stipend will be paid at a rate determined by the Government.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the internship programme, a certificate will be awarded
