Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. Develop an in-depth understanding of the surveillance protocol for successful implementation and execution of the study;
Provide basic triage and offer treatment to study participants;
Consent and collect surveillance data using provided tools;
Collect surveillance specimens and perform malaria rapid diagnostic tests on study participants as appropriate;
Maintain strict confidentiality and participants’ privacy;
Maintain adequate amounts of required medical supplies;
Participate in the review and development of study SOPs; and
Perform any other duties as assigned by the study management.
Vacancy Requirements:
Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Nursing/Midwifery, Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Mandatory
Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya; Mandatory
Valid Practising Licensing from Nursing Council of Kenya; Mandatory
Proficiency in computer application skills from a recognized institution; Mandatory
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Swahili; Mandatory
