Sales and Marketing Manager (Commission Based) at Girwa Radio

About the Role

• The Sales and Marketing Manager at Girwa Radio 99.5FM is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, and positioning the station as the leading media partner in the Nyanza region. The role combines strategic planning, business development, and creative marketing to ensure that Girwa Radio remains competitive and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase advertising revenue across Homa Bay, Kisumu, Siaya, Kisii, and Migori counties.
• Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, NGOs, government agencies, and SMEs.
• Design, price, and negotiate advertising packages tailored to client needs.
• Lead the marketing team in planning and executing promotions, campaigns, and community engagement events.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
• Ensure achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
• Represent Girwa Radio in media forums, trade fairs, and networking events.
• Oversee digital marketing initiatives to boost online presence and audience interaction.
• Recruit, train, and mentor sales agents to expand the sales force and drive regional growth.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
• Proven track record in sales, marketing, or media advertising.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Innovative thinker with the ability to develop creative campaigns.
• Familiarity with the radio/media landscape in Kenya.
