Tupande Supply Chain - Procurement Fellow at One Acre Fund

The Procurement Fellow is an entry-level, developmental role designed to build core procurement skills while contributing to daily sourcing and purchasing operations. Fellows will support PR processing, tender preparation, contract tracking, and supplier communication helping deliver value and efficiency across Tupande's procurement function. You will be a part of the Procurement team and will report directly to a Procurement Category Specialist This role is based in Kakamega and is onsite.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requests (PRs), prepare RFQs, and assist in vendor selection and PO creation under the guidance of procurement leads.
• Help track contract versions, support documentation reviews, and coordinate sign-offs with other teams and suppliers.
• Communicate with suppliers for quotation follow-ups, delivery updates, and basic clarification requests.
• Maintain procurement trackers, support weekly team reporting, and help update dashboards and databases.
• Participate in team trainings, onboarding programs, and rotational assignments across categories or procurement functions.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

• 0–2 years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, or related operational fields.
• Familiarity with procurement processes such as PR creation, RFQs, or vendor coordination (academic or internship experience acceptable).
