    Business Development & Event Curator - Corporate and Personal Events

    The Business Development & Event Curator is responsible for driving growth in the events segment by securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and curating memorable experiences. The role requires sales expertise, creativity, and operational excellence to deliver impactful events ranging from conferences and retreats to private celebrations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across both corporate and personal event markets.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Conduct market research to identify client needs, trends, and emerging opportunities.
    • Prepare customised proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
    • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.
    • Represent Tarpo Experiential at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.

    Event Curation

    • Conceptualise and curate event themes, experiences, and agendas aligned with client objectives.
    • Oversee events of varying scale, including corporate conferences, sports events, retreats, birthday and graduation parties, and funerals.
    • Collaborate with vendors, facilitators, and service providers to deliver cohesive experiences.
    • Incorporate creative and experiential elements to enhance guest engagement.
    • Manage event budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes.
    • Evaluate event outcomes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Tourism, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within the events, hospitality, or related industries.
    • Strong track record in planning and executing diverse events, from corporate to personal occasions.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong organisational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

    Business Development and Event Curator - Mobile Camping

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company's client base.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and potential clients in the mobile camps sector.
    • Create compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business and referrals.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.

    Event Curation:

    • Develop and curate event concepts, themes, and content that align with client objectives and target audiences.
    • Select and collaborate with vendors and other contributors to ensure a cohesive and engaging client experience.
    • Design interactive and experiential elements to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
    • Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure all aspects of event planning and execution align with the curated vision.
    • Manage the budget for event content and experiences, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
    • Evaluate guest experience outcomes and gather feedback to continually improve the curation process.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a Tourism related field.
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the events or hospitality industry.
    • Be a seasoned camper.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
    • Pleasant customer facing personality
    • Assertive project management or event coordination abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
