    Senior Safari Planner

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Prepare detailed, articulate and comprehensive itineraries and quotations
    • Manage the full booking process, from commencement to confirmation
    • Handling all communication with the agents/guests assigned to you from commencement to completion.
    • Checking availability for both accommodation and activity and holding space.
    • Invoicing confirmed safaris and following up payments
    • Raising vouchers for the confirmed itinerary
    • Maintaining and keeping proper records of all correspondence
    • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
    • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
    • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
    • Collaborate with colleagues and peers on the sales, marketing and product development teams to improve overall customer experience and satisfaction
    • Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent sales strategies.
    • Engage in the role of mentor to support staff in the team to realise their potential

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in Hospitality/Tourism Management or equivalent
    • 7+ years work experience as a Tour Consultant/Safari Planner
    • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
    • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
    • Aptitude to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
    • Ability to prioritize effectively, manage time and organise workflow
    • Potential to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
    • Ability to adapt to constant change
    • Strong relationship management skills
    • Desire to improve and reflect on feedback provided by managers through the application of KPIs

    General Manager (Restaurant)

    Key Responsibilities.

    • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations.
    • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
    • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
    • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.
    • Organize and supervise shifts.
    • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
    • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products.
    • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
    • Manage the restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
    • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or relevant field.
    • Must have at least 4 years of experience in restaurant
    • Great attention to detail, strong leadership, and communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills as well as have a business mindset.
    • Skilled in decision-making, problem-solving, planning and organizing.
    • Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
    • Knowledge of hotel management software.

    Head Chef (BBQ Restaurant)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead in the preparation of quality meals to the highest standards.
    • Ensure that all menus are constantly updated, paying special attention to food offerings.
    • Ensure that all menu item prices are correctly calculated to ensure maximum gross profit.
    • Supervise kitchen, staff ensuring an appropriate work roster is developed and adhered to
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff are constantly trained to effect good portion control.
    • Ensure that sufficient stocks of all ingredients are ordered and stored under the correct conditions.
    • Liaise with GM regularly regarding special requirements, functions.
    • Assist in development of marketing and advertising campaigns to attract patrons.
    • Ensure that all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed.
    • Ensure that maintenance problems are promptly reported.
    • Ensure regular stocktakes are conducted and secure and dependable systems.
    • Support efforts to maintain client satisfaction by monitoring & evaluating.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
    • Must have at least 4 years’ experience working as a Sous chef in a BBQ restaurant.
    • People skills – tolerance, patience and caring at all times
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent hygiene principles
    • Team player with positive attitude and enthusiasm
    • Excellent time management, interpersonal & problem solving skills
    • Must have a good understanding of menu compilation and Texan BBQ cuisine.
