    Sales Officer Intern- Isiolo

    What you will do:

    • Selling the full range of MOGO Kenya financial products to customers
    • Sales of new & used cars, motorcycles and threewheelers for potential customers
    • Execution of loan issuance process to potential customers
    • Facilitation of proper documentation per sale.
    • Assistance with administrative tasks (inspections, price updates etc) when needed
    • Manage incoming potential customers & follow-up until sale is completed.
    • Ensuring that the sales process is followed as per MOGO standards
    • Reaching the sales target of the branch through avenues provided.
    • Any other duty that may be assigned.

    What you will need:

    • Diploma/Degree in a business course or related field

    Regional Compliance Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory requirements across East African jurisdictions. 
    • Ensure the company’s operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, especially those related to microfinance and fintech institutions. 
    • Conduct research and monitor changes in the regulatory landscape in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and other target markets.  
    • Lead compliance training and awareness programs across departments and branches. 
    • Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders on all compliance matters. 
    • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks. 
    • Support legal and regulatory reporting, including the preparation of reports for senior management and regulatory bodies. 
    • Review and advise on customer and vendor contracts from a compliance and legal perspective. 
    • Ensure company adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), data protection, consumer protection and other relevant regulations. 
    • Investigate and manage incidents, breaches, or violations of compliance policies or regulations. 
    • Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel where necessary to address legal or compliance risks. 
    • Any other duties assigned

    What you will need:

    Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from a recognized institution. A postgraduate qualification or certification in compliance, risk management, or financial regulation is an added advantage 
    • Advocate of the High Court (Kenya or other East African jurisdictions) preferred. 
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal and/or compliance roles, ideally in the asset finance, microfinance or financial services sector. 
    • Proven experience working across multiple East-African regulatory environments.

    Senior Legal Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert legal advice and support management and other departments on a wide range of legal issues, including litigation, disputes and contract interpretation. 
    • Manage and coordinate all litigation and dispute matters and prepare legal documentation. Monitor ongoing litigation and provide regular updates on the status of cases, risks and outcomes. Develop litigation strategies and manage risk exposure to minimize any legal liabilities. Represent the company in court hearings and legal proceedings as necessary. 
    • Oversee the handling of legal complaints, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, timely and effective responses and escalation as needed. 
    • Supervise and support the legal recoveries process in collaboration with the collections and credit risk teams. 
    • Working closely with external legal counsels for any outsourced legal services, ensuring service quality, cost effectiveness and timely delivery of work. 
    • Conduct legal research and stay up to date with relevant legal developments, regulations and trends affecting the business.  
    • Attending various meetings and ensuring production of high-quality paperwork by preparing the agenda, papers and meeting minutes. Attending the briefing meetings of the various departments and disseminating the matters arising and required action points. 
    • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, agreements and other relevant legal documents, to safeguard the company’s interest. Proper filing and maintenance of contract database/registry and conduct checks to ensure it is up to date. 
    • Assess legal risks across various business areas and implement strategies to prevent and mitigate potential liabilities.
    • Conduct training for internal teams on legal matters to ensure ongoing awareness and adherence to policies and procedures.  
    • Any other duties assigned. 

    What you will need:

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution. 
    • Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. 
    • Admitted to the Roll of Advocates in Kenya. 
    • Current practicing Certificate
    • 5-7 years of proven experience as a legal professional, ideally with previous experience in handling litigation and legal disputes. 
    • Experience working in-house or with financial institutions, particularly within the microfinance sector, is highly preferred
