    Rust Engineering Lead - Linux and Open Source

    What your day will look like

    • Design and implement well-tested and well-documented software in Rust
    • Advocate for Rust adoption in Canonical and upstream projects
    • Identify projects and codebases that could be prioritised for Rust adoption
    • Debug and fix issues encountered by your users
    • Participate in our engineering process through code and architectural reviews
    • Collaborate with community and colleagues on technical specifications
    • Seek improvements to engineering and operations practices
    • In some cases, deploy and operate services developed by the team
    • Contribute to the success of your product through technical advocacy

    What we are looking for in you

    • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
    • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
    • For more senior roles, experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs

    Threat Intelligence Lead

    What you'll do in this role

    • Build and own Canonical's threat intelligence strategy
    • Build and maintain OSINT research environments
    • Develop OSINT tradecraft, principals, and techniques
    • Identify and track targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and new developments by cyber threat actors through analysis of proprietary and open source datasets
    • Collaborate across teams to inform on activity of interest
    • Coordinate adversary/campaign tracking
    • Contribute to the wider threat intelligence community, establishing Canonical as a key contributor and thought leader in the space
    • Work with product and engineering teams to explain cybersecurity threats and advise on mitigation strategies
    • Work with the OPSEC and IS team to help implement/update security controls prioritising cyber defence
    • Identify intelligence gaps and propose new tools and research projects to fill them
    • Conduct briefings for executives, internal stakeholders and external customers

    The successful Threat Intelligence Lead will be

    • An experienced threat intelligence leader (or similar)
    • Knowledgeable about the current open source threat landscape and computer networking/infrastructure concepts
    • Highly competent with OSINT tools (e.g., Buscador, Trace Labs OSINT VM, OSINT Framework, Maltego, Shodan, social media scraping tools, etc.)
    • Able to identify, organise, catalogue, and track adversary tradecraft trends — often with incomplete data
    • Experienced using threat intelligence data to influence enterprise architecture or product development decisions
    • An excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate and tailor technical content to a variety of audiences
    • Able to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long

    Events Marketing Manager

    What your day will look like

    • Maintain list of events Canonial should participate in based on primary research and input from team members.
    • Set relevant KPIs to measure individual event effectiveness and justify spend
    • Source best possible deals to maximise visiblity and minimse costs
    • Provide full logistic support to all events globally with occasional travel to major events
    • Be responsible for the event budget planning and execution constantly monitoring and adjusting it accordingly
    • Create systems to measurably improve events effectiveness over time
    • We expect members of the Canonical marketing team to be excellent communicators who are at ease working with a complex mix of engineers, product managers, sales representatives and executives.

    What we are looking for in you

    • Experience in B2B events organisation (trade show, customer events, webinar...)
    • Excellent academic results, with Bachelor's or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or STEM
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation skills in English
    • Hands-on mindset and a passion for experimentation

    Regional Marketing Manager

    What your day will look like

    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for certain industries within the APAC region
    • Set relevant KPIs for lead generation, demand generation and brand awareness campaigns; monitor and improve them on a regular basis
    • Build organic and paid campaigns from scratch including crafting strong messaging, and creating visual assets for emails, social media and paid ads in line with canonical's brand look & feel
    • Own webinars and regional offline events at all stages from planning to execution including holistic pre- and post-event/webinar strategies, webinar set up, streaming
    • Work with the CRM Team to attract, convert, engage and communicate with new and existing audiences
    • Be fully responsible for the regional budget planning and execution constantly monitoring and adjusting it accordingly
    • Collaborate extensively with regional Sales teams to get their insights and implement them to the regional marketing strategy

    • Hands-on mindset and ability to test various marketing assumptions attributing to scaling the most efficient ways of achieving positive marketing results
