    Chief of Staff

    About the role

    BURN is looking for a Chief of Staff to work closely with the company’s Chief Executive Officer to flesh out the short and long-term goals and make sure the company’s output falls in line with those goals.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with senior management to devise effective short and long-term plans.
    • Carry out initial research, project design, and thought partnership with the CEO.
    • Reviews and analyses the different strategic options and gives advice on the best way forward for both product and geographic expansion.
    • Work across multiple teams to develop IM, Board Reports, Corporate Presentations, Pitch Decks
    • Analyses the success of products, projects, and activities and discovers ways to increase revenue.
    • Leads and supports management in the application and implementation of new policies and procedures.
    • Develops new business opportunities by leveraging contacts, pursuing new product development, and improving project efficiency.
    • Support SMT with decision-making by leveraging the Internal Market Intelligence Team as a resource to assist in budgeting, resourcing decisions, and change management.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, finance, or marketing required.
    • Master of Business Administration recommended.
    • Must have at least 10 years of experience in strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership, and financial decision-making.
    • Must have demonstrated proficiency in analytical research, leadership, and strategic planning.
    • Must possess exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills.
    • Must have a strong working knowledge of management strategies, financial accounting, human resource planning, customer relations, and the implementation of new technologies.
    • Must be familiar with fundraising and increasing revenue while maintaining a comprehensive and cohesive brand or identity.
    • Must be comfortable with public speaking and communicating both verbally and in writing.
    • Must be able to multitask with research projects, data analysis, coordination with the executive team, and acting as the public face of the company in the absence of the company’s CEO.
    • Must be willing to challenge standard thinking with new ideas, new approaches, and new solutions.
    • Must have strong decision-making skills and the determination to see projects through to the end.
    • Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, and collaboration.
    • Must be self-directed and able to work independently.

    Carbon Operations Data QA/ QC Assistant

    About the Role:

    This role includes performing information and data quality reviews and creating and maintaining standard work processes. Quality reviews and checks will be based on the organization's standards, as well as any applicable methodologies, especially within the Carbon environment. In addition, the person to fill this role will be at the forefront of ensuring the organization meets its goals for productivity, quality of service, and overall effectiveness.

    Duties And Responsibilities:

    •  Develop SOPs and checklists for maintaining the highest quality of output from data and carbon operations-related activities.
    • Review and audit raw surveys, analytical data, and documentation necessary to complete carbon projects in time both quantitatively and qualitatively.
    • Ensure data and documentation comply with laid down SOPs and methodologies.
    • Collaborate and liaise closely and regularly with the relevant team members across the critical departments including but not limited to data analytics, customer experience, and commercial.
    • Manage routine corrections of erroneous outputs.
    • Automate manual quality checks for efficiency within the carbon department.

    Skills And Experience:

    • Individuals will need excellent technical abilities to carry out audit-like work in a data-heavy environment.
    • Meticulous and a keen eye for detail e.g., spotting an error, outlier, or inconsistent formula in a data output with hundreds of rows & tens of columns.
    • Required soft skills include people and teamwork skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
    • The role-holder is expected to have strong analytical abilities to evaluate the information for effectiveness and accuracy and create ways to improve an organization's data and information systems.
    • This specialist should also have effective communication skills to interact with team members or customers, as well as provide training as needed to colleagues.
    • Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in data & process audit.
    • Advanced data operations & data handling/analysis using Ms. Excel
    • Data audit experience
    • Process audit experience.
