- Experienced and hands-on in all practical plumbing and related building functions.
- Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques.
- Knowledge of the Kenyan plumbing code.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material by a Services Engineer.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing related problems, use hand and power tools in line with the outline guidelines.
- Previous experience in supervision of plumbing / related works/ projects.
- Ability to write technical specifications and estimate costs.
- Computer skills – including use of MS Office suite, ArchiCAD/AutoCAD

Job Purpose
- The role holder will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the electrical maintenance, regular check-ups and repairs in the Estates/Facilities owned by the Central Bank.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a plan for periodical review of electrical installations and devices in the CBK estate/facility.
- Ensure the maintenance division meets its functional responsibilities and make these contributions effectively and efficiently.
- Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures and electrical systems in the Bank.
- Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition at all times.
- Detect malfunctions and confers machine operation variations with Estates Manager or other technicians to diagnose problem or repair machine/equipment/structure.
- Manage the Technicians in the unit and set out their maintenance schedules and ensure high productivity.
- Ensure that all electric and related maintenance and repairs works is done within the required standards and timelines.
- Lead, train, coach and mentor Technicians in the unit, to enhance performance and continuously improve standards of service.
- Adhere to Bank policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional body certification or membership.
Work Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of working experience in maintenance of heavy-duty machinery or estate management.
