    Nursing Officer (Senior Business Analyst 2)

    Job Purpose

    The role holder will be responsible providing high quality patient care in the staff clinic. He/ She will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical and related administrative tasks to support patient health and wellbeing.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs evaluations, medical history review, symptom evaluation, to support diagnosis treatment planning.
    • Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients.
    • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and compliance with guidelines, standards, and protocols.
    • Monitor vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient using nursing process.
    • Ensure safe and clean working environment for staff, patients, and visitors by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, calling for assistance from heath care and support personnel.
    • Protect patients by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedure, and medical waste disposal.
    • Observe and monitor patients, records significant conditions and reactions by charting in patient records and notifying supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
    • Prepare clinical equipment and aid clinicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
    • Liaison person with external service providers e.g., hospitals, x-rays, doctors, and clinics as need arises.
    • Guide, Counsel / advise clients on health matters.
    • Promote good health and well-being through education and wellness programmes.
    • Advocate on behalf of patients and make ethical decisions related to consent and confidentiality.
    • Responsible for transportation of patients and ambulance services, patients hospital/home visits and emergency evacuation.
    • Verification of invoices from external service providers for related services.
    • Perform dental nursing and assist dentists in dental procedures.
    • Contribute to the planning and implementation of the clinic budget and business plan.
    • Adhere to the Bank policies, procedures, guidelines, and related standards
    • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Registered nursing course (Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse) or an equivalent Degree qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Member of the Nursing Council of Kenya.
    • Must have current nursing practice license by the Nursing Council of Kenya

    Work Experience

    • At least five (5) years’ experience in nursing services in a busy nursing environment.

    Laboratory Technician (Senior Business Analyst 2)

    Job Purpose

    The role holder is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing results, maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance standards for health and safety are adhered to at all times. He/She will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality services at the laboratory.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for carrying out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analysis of laboratory results following the standard operating procedures.
    • Prepare specimens and samples, perform laboratory tests in order to deliver reliable and accurate results which can aid in diagnosis and management of diseases.
    • Keep the laboratory workspace and machines clean and in the required order following strict methodologies.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality and follow up on quarterly maintenance of service contracts.
    • Referral of samples to external laboratories for specialized tests and follow up of the results as and when required.
    • Prepares and updates laboratory SOPs, adhering to guidelines as much as scientifically possible.
    • Keep up to date with technical developments that are aimed at improving efficiency, effectiveness and reliability at the laboratory; and embrace current trends of laboratory practises.
    • Responsible for taking precautional steps to ensure infection control in line with the prescribed standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
    • Carry out periodic internal and external quality controls and quality assurance on laboratory performance.
    • Manage laboratory inventory levels and replenishment and provide regular reports for management’s review.
    • Participate in in the clinic budget planning and drug procurement engagements.
    • Prepare periodic reports and analytics as required for clinic management use.
    • Verification of invoices from external service providers in line with the internal procedures.
    • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences OR Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
    • Must have a current practising license.
    • Registered with the Kenya Medical Technologists and Technicians Board (KMLTTB)

    Work Experience

    • At least five (5) years’ experience in a busy modern laboratory.

    Clinical Officer (Deputy Manager)

    Job Purpose

    As a healthcare professional, the role holder will apply medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention, and management of diseases. The role holder is responsible for ensuring quality preventive and curative health services for Bank Staff. He/She will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Technical and Operational Responsibilities

    • Conduct patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations and diagnostic tests among others.
    • Provide consultation services to patients in the staff clinic, diagnosing, giving health education, counselling, and treatment.
    • Take patients notes, examine, and document all findings both for legal reference and for the benefit of medical staff.
    • Liaise with other service providers to ensure efficient and effective management of patients.
    • Refer patients to the hospitals, physiotherapy, x-ray units, laboratory, external doctors, and other service providers in a timely manner as and when required.
    • Facilitate the admission of patients to the main hospitals and other specialized facilities as and when required.
    • Undertake continuous evaluation of patient’s response to plan of care and modify as needed.
    • Carry out specific medical and surgical procedures.
    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice at all times as is required of a healthcare professional.
    • Promote disease prevention and well-being through education, write ups, and wellness programmes/ initiatives.
    • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in service provision.
    • Participate in formulation of customer satisfaction survey questionnaire and implementation of interventions to ensure quality experience at the staff clinic.
    • Provide support to patient who have been referred for overseas treatment.
    • Keep up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine.
    • Provide Guidance, Counselling / advise services to clients on health matters.
    • Ensure working environment and waste disposal is according to the established procedures.
    •  Advocate on behalf of patients and makes ethical decisions related to consent and confidentiality.
    • Contribute to the planning and implementation of the clinic budget and business plan and ensure budget optimization.
    • Adhere to Bank policies, procedures, guidelines and related legislations.
    • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine OR Higher National Diploma in related clinical field.
    • Registered with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
    • Must have current practice license by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.

    Work Experience

    • At least six (6) years’ experience in a busy health facility.
