    Intern - Legal Affairs

    Successful intern will be reporting to the Program Advisor, Legal Affairs.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    Applicants for the above position should possess the following:

    • Applicant should have graduated or has finalised 4th year course work and is awaiting graduation, to graduate with a minimum degree in Law.
    • Applicant should have between 3 months and 1 year experience working with international, labour, family, human rights and/or environmental law
    • Applicants with a Law degree should not be currently admitted to Kenya School of Law or if admitted should have successfully completed pupillage and is awaiting admission to the bar.
    • Ability to draft legal pleadings, legal reports and attend court hearings
    • Knowledge, relevant practice and understanding of the respective laws and regulations will be an added advantage
    • Ability and knowledge to handle legal aid cases and clients
    • Should have a valid certificate of good conduct
    • Excellent in written and spoken English
    • All applicants must possess authorisation to work in Kenya prior to applying for this position.
    • Excellent in written and spoken English and Swahili

    • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Research Skills
    • Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are highly motivated, possess the ability to follow standard operating procedures, are self-starters and functional problem solvers with the ability to lea
