Job Details

• Proving sound legal services to management to ensure legal affairs of the Company are effectively and efficiently managed
• Drawing contract/ leases and handling issues arising from all courts judgments.
• Preparing all legal documents and ensuring their execution.
• Attending to all suits filed by the Company or against the Company.
• Supporting the arbitration process arising from contracts disputes.
• Liaises with advocates appointed to handle various Company cases.
• Offering legal opinion or legal services to various departments.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements pertaining to lease, taxes, rents and other statutory obligations
• Providing necessary documentation on litigation involving the Company.
• Monitoring contractual and statutory compliance.
• Ensuring efficient coordination and management of insurance services.
• Assists the company Secretary in the coordination of Board of Directors matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) and enrolled as Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
• Post graduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law.
• Five (5) years relevant working experience preferably in a commercial oriented organization.
• Be in possession of current practicing Certificate.
• Registered with a Professional Body LSK and CPSK
• Demonstrable high degree of professional competency and administrative capabilities.
• Conversant with Commercial and Company laws.
• Good communication, Drafting, Negotiation, Arbitration and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong Organizational Skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Computer Proficiency.
